Regional Leasing Specialist

Base Salary: $65,000
Reports to: Director of Leasing and Marketing
Amount of Travel Required: 50 - 70%

Position Summary

The Regional Leasing Specialist will support the entire student housing portfolio in achieving a variety of leasing benchmarks, including but not limited to weekly/monthly/annual leasing goals, budgeted rental rates, renewal targets, closing ratios and other key performance metrics. This role will report to the Director of Leasing and Marketing.

*This role will operate remotely and have an emphasis on travel to the properties within the portfolio.

Job Specific Competencies

  • Conduct tours, diligently pursue the close of each sale, perform follow ups and complete leasing paperwork with prospective residents
  • Train and supervise leasing team members in all aspects of the sales process and associated administrative tasks required to complete the leasing process
  • Be the expert in all policies, procedures, programs and services related to leasing and marketing used by the student housing communities
  • Ensure all company policy and procedures are followed, as well as compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. Understand and adhere to Fair Housing Laws
  • Support site teams in the completion and execution of the annual marketing plans
  • Plan and implement the annual renewal leasing campaign
  • Monitor competitive market surveys for all communities
  • Conduct tours, diligently pursue the close of each sale, perform follow ups and complete leasing paperwork with prospective residents
  • 50-75% travel is required
  • All other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Position Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Industry Certifications are preferred
  • Where required by law, must have state leasing and/or management license, or the ability to obtain the required license(s) within the timeframe mandated by local or state law

Experience

  • A minimum of two years on-site, student housing property management experience is required, with at least one year in a management capacity preferred

Other Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and management skills are essential
  • Time management and the ability to prioritize competing projects to meet required deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to articulate information clearly and concisely
  • Experience with Entrata is preferred
  • Computer Literacy including familiarity with Google Workplace Suite and Microsoft Office software
